BVIS Hanoi Campus Transformation 2025: Key Milestones Completed and What's Next

As part of our ongoing commitment to transforming learning environments and nurturing the whole child, BVIS Hanoi has already completed several critical upgrades under our 2025 facility improvement project. With over $1 million USD being invested into our campus, these enhancements are shaping a more inspiring, comfortable, and future-ready school for all students.

Projects Completed in Summer 2025

1. Primary School Canteen Renovation

Students returned in August to a fully refreshed canteen space designed with comfort, wellbeing, and joyful mealtimes in mind. The renovation includes a fully redesigned layout, featuring:

• A dedicated hand-washing and hygiene zone
• New modernised toilets and child-friendly water taps
• Redesigned entrance and improved traffic flow with wider canteen doors
• A clear buffet line and a new salad bar for healthy choices
• Upgraded serving counters and food stations for faster service
• Improved lighting, ventilation, and sound control
• A fresh, vibrant interior design to make mealtimes feel bright and welcoming

Every element has been thoughtfully developed to enhance hygiene, comfort, and the overall dining experience for our Primary students.

2. Secondary School Football Pitch Upgrade

While the new pitch may look similar at first glance, the entire surface has been rebuilt layer by layer using professional-grade materials to ensure improved safety, durability, and playability. The new structure includes:

• Natural soil layer: compacted to form the base foundation
• Base rock layer: providing load-bearing strength and stability
• Crushed stone layer: enhancing drainage and surface balance
• Grass carpet base layer: for even support under the turf
• Clean sand layer: offering cushioning and level precision
• Rubber granule layer: increasing comfort and reducing injury risks
• Artificial grass surface: newly installed, weather-resistant and safe for year-round use

These layers work together to create a long-lasting, all-weather pitch that supports both physical education and school sports activities.

3. New Air Conditioning Systems Installed

To ensure better year-round comfort, BVIS Hanoi has replaced all major AC units in key Primary School areas:

• Sports Halls: 3 new 200,000 BTU units installed across a 600m² area. These units significantly improve airflow and cooling during PE lessons and events.
• Canteen: 6 new 49,000 BTU units ensure a cool, clean dining environment for every child, especially during the peak heat of Hanoi summers.

These upgrades reflect our proactive approach to ensuring health, comfort, and academic focus no matter the season.

Looking Ahead: Projects Planned for 2026

Our journey doesn’t stop here. In 2026, BVIS Hanoi will continue its campus transformation with new projects designed to elevate both indoor and outdoor learning spaces:

• Wet play area for Early Years (mid-August)
• Weather-proof shading for Primary and Secondary football pitches
• Landscaping and outdoor space redesign for the Secondary area
• Renovation of the Secondary School Canteen
• Transformation of Primary STEAM classrooms

Each new upgrade is designed with a singular goal: to enrich our students’ learning experiences and ensure BVIS Hanoi remains one of the region’s leading international schools.
