2025 diploma results Collège du Léman
Congratulations, Class of 2025!

Collège du Léman is one of the only schools in Switzerland to offer five internationally recognised diploma pathways. This unique breadth enables every student to follow the path that best suits their aspirations, and in 2025, our graduates once again delivered exceptional results across them all.

Students attained a perfect 100% pass rate in both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP). Additionally, 99% of our students earned their American High School Diplomas, while those who took Advanced Placement (AP) exams achieved an 86% pass rate.

On the francophone side, our Swiss Maturité and French Baccalauréat graduates also maintained a perfect 100% pass rate, with outstanding distinctions across the board.

Our IGCSE students also excelled, with 48% of A*-A grades and 96% of A*-C grades, building a strong foundation for their future pathways.

Collège du Léman celebrated these exceptional achievements at a memorable Graduation Ceremony held at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in June 2025, featuring inspiring speeches and heartfelt performances by our talented students, as families, staff, and graduates came together to honour this important milestone.

This year’s graduation was especially poignant as we also bid farewell to James Bearblock, our beloved High School Principal, who is retiring after 35 years of exceptional service. His dedication, vision, and care have shaped generations of CDL students, leaving an enduring legacy within our community.

A Perfect Pass Rate: International Baccalaureate Programmes (IBDP & IBCP)

2025 Diploma Results High School and IB

IB Diploma Programme (IBDP):

All candidates successfully earned their diplomas, marking CDL’s fifth consecutive year of a 100% pass rate. Our students achieved an average score of 35 points (out of 45), significantly above the global average of 30.6.

Highlights: One student achieved the perfect 45 points, a rare global achievement. 41% of students scored 37 points or higher, positioning them for top university offers. 17% of students achieved 40 points or more, ranking among the world’s best performers.

IB Career-related Programme (IBCP):

All students passed and received their Career-related Diplomas, underscoring CDL’s strength in delivering dual-pathway academic excellence.

American High School Diploma

Students pursuing the American High School Diploma achieved an outstanding 99% pass rate. This flexible programme guides students from Grade 9 to Grade 12. Mandatory courses and electives enable each learner to match their studies to personal strengths and university goals. Students can also choose to enrich this pathway with Advanced Placement (AP) courses (see below) and IBDP courses in Grade 11 and 12.

Advanced Placements (APs)

The Advanced Placement programme allows students to challenge themselves academically by taking university-level courses during secondary school. CDL students achieved an 86% pass rate in AP exams, with an impressive average score of 3.6 out of 5 (compared to the global average of 2.9). A high proportion of students scored 4 or 5, demonstrating strength across a wide range of subjects, from mathematics and sciences to humanities and the arts.

These results reaffirm the importance of academic challenge and student choice, the cornerstones of the American High School Diploma and what makes it a powerful complement to CDL’s global curriculum.

Record-Breaking Success in the Swiss Maturité

2025 résultats Baccalaureat français et Maturité suisse

On the francophone side, our Swiss Maturité students achieved record-breaking results during the 2025 winter session of the Federal Maturité in Suisse Romande:

  • One student earned 122 points, the highest score of the entire session.
  • Three of the top four scores in the region were earned by CDL students.
  • Students achieved an excellent average score of 102.1

These results spotlight the rigour of CDL’s bilingual Swiss Maturité programme, which demands mastery across 13 subjects in both French and English while nurturing academic resilience and global readiness.

Historic French Bac Achievements

Our French Baccalauréat cohort achieved a 100% pass rate, maintaining CDL’s record of excellence in this pathway for the 12th consecutive year. All students earned mentions (honours), a milestone never before achieved at CDL. Notably, 68% of students earned a mention Bien or Très Bien.

The French Bac is valued worldwide for cultivating deep intellectual rigour, broad cultural knowledge, and proficiency in French, qualities that underpin success in top universities across France, Switzerland, and beyond. It is a two-year programme integrating formal exam performance with continuous assessment, and CDL’s structure aligns closely with national educational standards thanks to our accreditation with the Grenoble Rectorat and the Groupement des Écoles Suisses préparant au Bac Français (GESBF).

IGCSE Excellence:

Building the Foundation for Future Pathways Before embarking on their chosen diplomas, our younger students also excelled in the Cambridge IGCSEs, achieving 48% A–A* and 96% A–C*. Students achieved outstanding results across multiple disciplines, with 100% A*–C in English, English Literature, Computer Science, Physics, Additional Mathematics, and Drama, as well as 100% A*–B in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

This globally recognised two-year programme provides students with a solid academic foundation across a broad range of subjects, preparing them to succeed in CDL’s post-16 pathways.
